A Door in Èze

INSPIRED | 02: From the South of France to your dining room.

On a recent trip to Monaco, we spent a day exploring the beautiful medieval French town of Èze. The old town is perched on a hill and is full of winding alleyways, eateries and small artisanal shops. While exploring the town, I stumbled across this incredible door. I fell in love with the juxtaposition of the natural wood and the intricate metalwork, including the unique lock, which I have not seen elsewhere before. This week, I’ve curated a dining room inspired by this wonderful door.

I love how the table has the same perfectly imperfect wood grain and finish as the old door, and how the shapes joining the candlestick's turrets mimic the shape of the lock. The Staub dinnerware set has a handmade feel, and I can picture a bunch of white hydrangeas spilling out of that stunning pitcher. Which of the pieces are your favourite?
